We’ll Guide You Through the Process of Applying for an Online Car Loan

To finance your next car, you will need to take out a loan to buy that vehicle. When you apply for an auto loan, you must agree to pay the amount given to you along with the interest over time. Auto financing allows you to afford a new car with fewer financial constraints.
If you choose to apply for a car loan, we only need you to do a few things. First, you need to choose your preferred car model. During this step, you make independent decisions without anyone pressuring you into buying any specific model. One of our salespersons will only offer you a guideline for each model and answer any questions that you may have.
Once you have selected your vehicle model, you can proceed to the next step, which involves filling out our quick pre-approval form to apply for one of our finance programs. We require you to provide some personal details, including your occupational, contact, and banking information. Over the years, we have worked with many drivers who needed a range of budget options. Therefore, you can trust us to offer you the necessary help.
You Can Use Our Payment Calculator Tool
We have a payment calculator that we use to estimate your purchase power and monthly payments. The calculator allows you to get a clear picture of how much you can expect to pay in monthly installments. You can, therefore, plan your budget right down to the last dollar.
Do You Want to Trade In Your Vehicle With Us?
Sometimes, you may choose to trade in your new or old vehicle for a newer model. If you decide to do this, you can trust us to offer good rates. We will calculate the current market value of your vehicle based on its year, model, mileage, and other relevant information. Once an estimate has been made, that amount will be deducted from the value of the new vehicle you intend to buy.
Why Should You Get an Auto Loan Through Our Dealership?
Financing your car through our dealership offers many advantages. Here is why you can trust Bill Volz Westchester’s finance department to help you complete the process:

We Have a Simplified Process

You Can Take Advantage of Special Financing Programs
When you apply for auto financing through our dealership, that gives you the chance to take advantage of special programs on offer. For instance, you can benefit from low-rate programs and manufacturer incentives. These programs are designed to help you acquire your desired vehicle more easily.
Can You Apply for Car Financing With a Bad Credit Score?
Regardless of your credit score, you can rest easy knowing that you can qualify for a loan. We have an experienced team of financial experts who will work with you. They will not rest until you find a loan program that is suitable for you.
Usually, a high credit score guarantees you lower interest rates. However, there are a few things that you can do to lower your interest rates. First, you can get a co-signer with a good credit score to assume equal responsibility for the loan. Secondly, you can take advantage of the fixed annual interest rates to avoid shifting monthly installments.
Which Option Is More Costly: Buying or Leasing a Car?
Leasing is more like renting a car from a dealer for an agreed-upon number of miles and period. When you lease a car, you will be making monthly lease payments. Once the contract ends, you can choose to buy or return the car to the dealership.
Car leases, to some extent, are similar to car loans. However, they are different in that you will pay lower monthly payments. While this is an advantage, this type of contract is disadvantageous as you will not be building any equity during the lease period.
In this case, therefore, leasing a car is most cost-effective if you want to drive a new model without owning or paying for it. However, you must understand the terms of the lease. Also, you need to limit how much you drive since the lease contract specifies the number of miles you can travel during the lease period. All these factors will tell you whether leasing is the best option for you or not.
Owning a vehicle no longer needs to remain a dream anymore. The Bill Volz Westchester Finance Center is here to help you realize your dream. Our team of financial experts will take you through the auto financing process so that you can drive off in one of our new or used vehicles. You can call us at 855-970-4626, contact us via our online form, or visit our dealership.
What to Know When Shopping for Used Cars
If you’re in the market for a good used vehicle, then you’re in the right place. Bill Volz Westchester has a variety of options when it comes to quality used vehicles. We have everything from daily commuters and off-road-ready options such as the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, to premium luxury vehicles.
Know What You Need

Before you start shopping for a quality used vehicle, you need to decide what you need out of that vehicle. Are you looking for something family-friendly, fuel-efficient, or luxurious? For example, if you need to haul stuff for work or play, you may want to look at the selection of trucks at Bill Volz Westchester. Consider the features you want as well when making your list.
Inspect the Vehicle
Once you’ve settled on the vehicle of your dreams, be sure to take a moment to inspect it thoroughly. You may even want to have your regular mechanic take a look at it to make sure it’s in tip-top shape. If you don’t have a mechanic to inspect it for you, there are plenty of options in the Cortlandt area who would be happy to help.
Get a Vehicle History
Ask for the CarFax on the vehicle you’ve selected. A CarFax report will provide you with information on the vehicle, including the number of owners and whether or not it’s been in an accident. Just because a vehicle was in an accident doesn’t mean you need to walk away from it, but having that knowledge helps in the decision-making process.
Consider a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle
Every vehicle listed as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle passes a stringent certification process and, if it passes, then undergoes a 125-point inspection. You can also add a 7-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, 24-hour towing and roadside assistance, car rental allowance, and a 3-month/3,000-mile maximum care coverage to any of our CPO vehicles.
Know Your Budget
Purchasing a quality used vehicle is an investment, and you want to be sure you can afford that investment. If you plan to finance your vehicle, take the time to consider these three things:
- Monthly payment. When considering how much of a monthly payment you can afford, be sure to include the finance payment, fuel, and insurance.
- Loan length. Your next consideration should be how long you want to make payments on the vehicle Loans with longer terms typically have a lower monthly payment but a higher interest rate. It’s best to take out an auto loan for the shortest amount of time that you can afford.
- Interest rate. Each lending institution has a different interest rate to offer and may even compete to earn your business by offering lower interest rates. When shopping around for a lender, watch all of the terms of the loan.
Our finance team works with each customer to ensure they get the right finance program to fit their needs at a competitive rate. You can apply online to become prequalified or use our payment calculator to help you determine your budget. We will work with you to get you the best loan possible to finance the vehicle of your dreams here at Bill Volz Westchester.
Benefits of Leasing A Dodge Vehicle
Finding your next vehicle is a big decision, and the important choices start before you’ve even taken your first test drive. One of the most important decisions to make during your next vehicle search is whether to lease or buy. Both options have their own benefits, and either of them could be the right choice for you depending on your circumstances. This guide can help you understand why many Westchester natives choose to lease with Bill Volz Westchester.
The Benefits of Leasing Your Dodge Vehicle
If you think that leasing might be the right option for you when shopping for your next Dodge car, truck, or SUV, then it helps to know its many benefits. Some of the top reasons to choose leasing over buying when in the market for your next vehicle include:

- Save Big Today: Leasing doesn’t require a large down payment like purchasing a vehicle does. Not only does this mean you can save money right now, but it can also allow you to find your next vehicle more quickly if you don’t already have a down payment saved up.
- Pay Less Each Month: Despite not including a down payment, leasing your vehicle often costs lower in monthly payments than purchasing a financed vehicle. This means the savings don’t just stop on day one, you add to them with each month by paying less.
- Enjoy Warranty Protections: When choosing a leased vehicle, you also benefit from the warranty protection that most leased vehicles enjoy. This provides financial coverage in the event of any necessary repairs because of parts or labor error.
- Get the Latest Technology: Because leases operate as short-term agreements, you get to refresh your vehicle more often. This allows you to always stay in one of the most recent years of model releases, which means you also enjoy the latest and most effective forms of entertainment and convenience technology.
- Safety First: Nothing is more important when shopping for your next vehicle than ensuring that you and your passengers are safe and well protected. Just as modern vehicles have the latest entertainment options, they also include the newest and most effective safety features as well, helping to make you more secure every time you get behind the wheel of your leased Dodge vehicle.
- No Resale Stress: When purchasing your vehicle, if you decide to upgrade to a new option, you have to sell your existing vehicle as well. This can add additional work to the process of getting behind the wheel of a new car, truck, or SUV. With a lease, when your term ends, you simply return the vehicle and leave with your replacement, making the process as hassle-free as possible.
- Improved Selection: Because leasing is a less expensive option than buying, it can also increase the range of vehicles that fit within your chosen budget. If you have your eye set on a specific model, trim, or configuration, but it’s outside of your buying budget, you may be able to lease it and get the features you want on a budget that you can afford.

6 Fun Ways to Spend the Day Around Cortlandt
Located near Bear Mountain Bridge and the Hudson River, Cortlandt, New York, is almost considered a hidden gem in the Empire State. This town encompasses two incorporated villages and numerous neighborhoods, each with distinctive characteristics but all united by heritage. The next time you find yourself near this area, stop by one of these six locations recommended by Bill Volz Westchester to spend the day learning and having fun.
Blue Mountain Reservation

Head over to the northwestern section of Westchester County to explore all the Blue Mountain Reservation has to offer. The park is open year-round from 8 a.m. until dusk. This 1,538-acre site features miles of trails perfect for hiking and mountain biking. Two of the more challenging trails sit atop two large peaks: Blue Mountain and Mt. Spitzenberg. The 12-mile Briarcliff-Peekskill Trailway is accessible via the Blue Mountain trail system, though this trail is unpaved. Also, the trails are marked according to skill, with yellow for beginners, orange for intermediate, and red for advanced.
Another option is to complete the Blue Mountain Reservation Loop, which connects the main parking lot at the pond to those two large peaks. You can complete the loop in either direction, with the northern portion following the Dickey Brook Trail. Spitzenberg Mountain is accessible via the Sitting Duck Trail, and you can gaze out to the Hudson River during your hike.
Back Nine Indoor Golf
Back Nine Indoor Golf, located in Cortlandt Manor, features a state-of-the-art indoor golf simulator, along with a casual dining atmosphere. No matter what the weather is outside, the inside is warm and dry, so you can enjoy a round of golf without dealing with the weather. And whether you’re an avid golfer or have never picked up a club, the indoor golf facility is the perfect place to play a round.
If you have some, bring your golf clubs and balls with you to play. You can also rent clubs and buy balls. Come by and play in a league, take a lesson, or invite a bunch of friends and family to enjoy this experience. Choose among 40 different courses including some PGA championship ones, such as St. Andrews and Pebble Beach. On average, 18 holes take one person about an hour to finish. So, if you have four people in your group, expect to finish in about four hours.
Cortlandt Lanes
If the weather is bad or you just feel like spending some time indoors, head over to Cortlandt Lanes in Cortlandt Manor and play a few games of bowling. Depending on the age of your group, you can add bumper lanes or use lane slopes to make the game more enjoyable.
The facility is open daily and stays open every night until at least 11 p.m., so you can stop by whenever it’s convenient for you. Game prices vary depending on the time and day of the week. You can even come in on Saturday mornings and bowl for two hours, anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and enjoy breakfast afterward. Cortlandt Lanes also offers a Sunday lunch special between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. For children age 10 and under, bowling shoe rental is free.
Cortlandt Waterfront Park
The Cortlandt Waterfront Park, at the end of Broadway on Riverview Avenue in Verplanck, is the ideal spot to spend the day. During the early 1990s, the area underwent a massive renovation when public access to the Hudson River and Steamboat Dock became threatened. And since then, the town has invested millions to expand the park from 1 acre to almost 30 acres. Some of the features you can enjoy at the park include the following:
- A public boat launch.
- A riverfront pedestrian trail that connects the sidewalks on the two main roads.
- An aviation-themed playground.
- Horseshoe pits.
- A fishing pier, where you can fish and crab.
Hook up your boat to your Ram, and bring your boat during seasonal use, which runs from April 1 through October 31. On most Thursdays from June through August, enjoy the summer concert series and evening movie events. The park is also an excellent location to view birds like red-tailed hawks, bald eagles, and blue herons.
Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art
Found in nearby Peekskill, the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art opened its doors in 2004 thanks to the efforts of Livia and Marc Straus, who have been major contemporary art collectors since 1968. Together, they helped open the center to highlight the work of internationally renowned artists and up-and-coming talents. In addition to its exhibits, the center has launched six Peekskill Projects, which are citywide celebrations on site-specific installations and performances, each featuring 120 national and global artists.
The Hudson Valley Center is open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday and Saturday. Contact them to schedule an in-depth tour given by professional educators so you can learn all about the types of art showcased. Tours can also be tailored to your specific needs.
The New Croton Dam
The New Croton Dam (also known as Cornell Dam) forms the New Croton Reservoir and stretches across the Croton River, about 22 miles north of New York City. Completed in 1906 to supply New York with water, it was the first large masonry dam in the country. It’s 266 feet broad at the base and 297 feet tall, and when completed, was the tallest dam in the world. Check out the stunning views of the dam from the 97-acre Croton Gorge Park or the Old Croton Trail, which is a popular hiking and biking path.

Benefits and Features of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler
If you want a vehicle that’s capable of handling some tough off-road conditions while remaining a joy to drive during all the other times, look no further than the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The newest model has a lot to offer owners, from luxurious interior features to powerful performance. To help you decide if this year’s Jeep Wrangler is right for you, below is an overview of all its best features.
Exterior

Let’s start by looking at the outside of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. With this most recent model, Jeep went for a more retro style that likely makes you think of a 1940s military vehicle. One look at this vehicle and you’ll know it’s ready to tackle just about any challenge. It also comes in a variety of colors and themed exterior packages, allowing you to customize the look further. For example, there’s the beach-themed exterior package called the Islander, which is perfect for off-roading along the shore.
The exterior of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler also has the other features you’ve come to expect in a Jeep. There are removable doors and overhead roof, which can give you a more open-air experience when you’re off-roading. You’ll also find powerful headlights, a vertical grille in the front and large, and lifted wheels to complete the look.
Performance
One of the biggest reasons to get any Jeep Wrangler is the performance it provides and the 2021 model is no exception. Inside you’ll find a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower. You can combine this engine with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic depending on your preference. There’s are also other engine options available, such as a 3.6-liter V6 with hybrid-assist, a 3.0-liter V6 diesel, and a 6.4-liter V8 engine. Between all these engine options, you’re sure to find one that fits your power needs.
Another key performance metric is fuel economy. The options you get within your Jeep Wrangler play a big role in determining the fuel economy you’ll get. If you get a diesel engine, you can expect around 22 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway. In a standard gasoline engine, you can get around 20 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway. It’s a good idea to learn the specific mileage you’ll get when buying your car but regardless of which option you choose, you’re getting a vehicle that’s great on gas compared to others in its class.
Interior Comfort
Whether you’re driving the Wrangler off-road, on the highway, or on some local streets, you want a comfortable ride. To start, the Wrangler comes with comfortable leather upholstery seats that are sure to make even the longest rides more enjoyable. In addition, there’s a wide view of the road in front of you, making maneuvering easier. If you’re looking for a model with plenty of cargo space, you’ll definitely want to consider a four-door option over the classic two-door, as these have a lot more interior space.
Of course, the Wrangler also comes with other features you’d come to expect in a modern car. You’ll find a strong AC unit, power windows, and adjustable seats. There are also a host of other features available in more premium trims that can make your rides even more comfortable. The best way to experience how comfortable the ride is, you should schedule a test drive in a 2021 Jeep Wrangler at your local dealership.
Entertainment Features
A big part of what makes the 2021 Jeep Wrangler fun to drive is the available entertainment features. This all starts with the built-in infotainment system. You can get your Wrangler without one if you only want the basics but it’s a great feature that you’ll likely be glad you got. With the infotainment center, you can control your car’s media and navigation through a touchscreen in the center of the dashboard console.
In addition, you can connect this infotainment system to your Android or Apple device. By doing so, you can then easily play your favorite music or use your favorite navigation apps, while simultaneously keeping your phone charged. If you like the idea of cruising around with the top down while your favorite music plays on an excellent audio system, then you’ll love the Jeep Wrangler.
Safety
Finally, as with any vehicle you’re going to take off-road, you want something with plenty of safety features. Some of the key safety features in the 2021 Jeep Wrangler include:
- Blind-spot monitoring.
- Rear cross-traffic alert.
- Rear parking sensors.
- Rear backup camera.
- Forward collision warning.
- Adaptive cruise control.
- Automatic high-beam headlamps.
In addition to these tech features, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler also has a high-strength steel frame which helps to maximize crash protection. You’ll also find an advanced airbag system, should you find yourself in an accident. Finally, with its Bluetooth connectivity, you can make calls and stream your music all without having to take your hands off the wheel.
The safety features available depend on the trim level you select. Be sure to get a full accounting of the safety features you’re getting when you are shopping for a Wrangler to ensure the safety features you want are included.

HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE DO WINTER TIRES MAKE?
Being a New York resident means you are no stranger to snow. It’s a part of living in the “Snow Belt,” and we all accept it as inevitable. So is your car fully equipped to take on the snow? The team at Bill Volz Westchester believes that having snow tires is extremely important, and we think you should come by our dealership and get some now before it’s too late.
Are you driving a vehicle that’s either all-wheel-drive or has all-season tires on your front-wheel-drive sedan? Do you think that the stability control of your rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan will keep you safe? Well, think again. While these features may provide peace of mind, the bottom line is that anyone who regularly drives in snowy, icy winter weather conditions can benefit from snow tires. Here is what makes these modern-day snow tires stand out.
Special Rubber And Design
Modern Winter tires make a bigger difference now than ever before due to their special rubber and design. The rubber is special because it does not lose flexibility below 0 degrees. This is important because the rubber compound in a winter tire has to bend and flex for the special tread design to clear the road surface of snow, ice, water and slush, as well as get a grip through muck. This rubber is exclusively for winter and all-season tires, and the tread design is also unique. The unique tread design can self-clean by channeling water out of the tire’s footprint and digging through ice for traction. This is utilized by designing the tread pattern to move as the tire rolls forward. The rubber compound allows flexing, while “siping” is used on snow treads. Siping is a semi-segmenting of each tread lug to make it malleable while the tire rolls down the road.

KYKUIT: THE ROCKEFELLER ESTATE
We at the #BillVolzWestchester team highly recommend that you take a day trip up to Kykuit. While there are many places to visit in the surrounding area of the city, it’s one of the best historic sites in the area and is only a 30 minute drive from Cortlandt Manor.
Kykuit is a Hudson Valley landmark for architecture, gardens, art, history and spectacular scenery. The hilltops once belonged to four generations of the Rockefeller family, beginning with John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil. That business made him the richest man in America at that time. This landmark is now a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and has been maintained for over 100 years.
The tour will take you to the main rooms of the six story stone house to stand in awe at the beauty of the architecture. Then you move on through the expansive, terraced gardens that contain Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller’s amazing collection of 20th-century sculpture. Some of the sculptures were made by Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, Louise Nevelson and David Smith. There is an underground art gallery with Governor Rockefeller’s collection of Picasso tapestries, and the cavernous Coach Barn, with its collections of classic vehicles and horse-drawn carriages.
As you take the tour, your guide will share stories that highlight the lives of the Rockefeller family members and their contributions to philanthropy, conservation, business, government and art.
The flexibility of tour options allows you to tailor a visit that appeals to your interests and available time. Each tour begins at the visitor center at Philipsburg Manor, where you’ll then take a shuttle bus to the estate.
This is a great opportunity and experience that you do not want to miss out. It’s perfect getaway for a day during the weekend and is full of interesting tidbits that you never would’ve thought of. Our team at Bill Volz Westchester hopes you enjoy the experience as much as we did. To learn more about us, visit www.bvwestchester.com to see our selection of Jeep vehicles and find out why we are the best of the Westchester car dealers.
