The heart of this Hybrid in the lithium-ion battery. It works with the engine to provide optimal efficiency, while only needing to be charged for two hours with an available 240-volt Level II charger. This charger goes into a normal wall outlet with the 120-volt cable. The battery has the ability to even self charge via regenerative braking, which is when it takes the energy from the brakes as they are applied.
