The new year is upon us and that means there are new vehicles set to be released. In this article we are going to take a look into the future at what is next for the offroading fans of Jeep.
Jeep tends to dominate the off roading market. Whether it is trails, rock climbing or just going out for a drive on the beach, Jeeps are always up for the task. First up is the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, which resembles the classic Grand Cherokee. It is worth noting that they are still much different under hood and inside. The Trailhawk has a specially tuned version of Jeep’s Quadra-Lift air suspension that has been tuned for the situation at hand, a Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive system, electronic rear limited slip differential, Goodyear all-terrain tires with Kevlar reinforcement and Selec-Terrain off-road system. All of these additions are what really differentiate the Trailhawk to the Cherokee, as modern technology has really upped the ante for the popular Jeep brand.
Another special preference for Jeep consumers is the Jeep Wrangler Trailcat, which is an off-road inspired vehicle. It is packed with a 707 horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that going to blow the doors off of other vehicles. Jeep lowered the windshield by two inches in comparison to the Wrangler and expanding the wheelbase to 108 inches for the new mechanics. This six-speed manual is supported by Dana 60 axles, while both Fox shocks and Eibach springs help you dominate the trails alongside the BFGoodrich 40-inch tires.
Lastly, the Grand Cherokee SRT is for the performance and luxury seeking drivers. It comes with a 6.4-liter V8, generating 475 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, all-wheel drive and premium interior. It contains 475 horsepower and can hit 60 mph in under five seconds from full stop.
