If you crave the thrill of a high-performance vehicle, Dodge SRT models are for you. Since launching its SRT division in 2003, Dodge has produced elite versions of its production models under the SRT banner. Short for Street and Racing Technology, every Dodge SRT model brings innovations from the racetrack to the streets. Here are the current Dodge SRT models and a sneak peek at what we can expect from the SRT division in the future.

Dodge Durango SRT
The Dodge Durango has long been a reliable family SUV with more power and towing capacity than most vehicles in its class. In 2024, Dodge offers two Durango SRT models: the 2024 Dodge Durango SRT 392 and the 2024 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. Both vehicles feature all-wheel drive for more excellent traction and high-speed handling while towing. They’re potent pullers with a best-in-class towing capacity of 8,700 pounds. Their 10.1-inch touch screens let you access valuable information about your Dodge, such as its engine performance and G-force, via the Performance Pages app.
2024 Dodge Durango SRT 392
A big 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine makes the SRT 392 a real step up from most other Durango vehicles. The 475 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque help the SRT 392 go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds. It can also handle a quarter mile in just 12.9 seconds. Since the Jeep Wagoneer is no longer available with a HEMI engine, the latest SRT 392 makes a great alternative to this luxury full-size SUV.
Since it’s not as powerful as the Hellcat, the SRT 392 features standard Brembo brakes. Although 20-inch 295/45 all-season tires come standard, you can choose summer tires. The front seats and second-row captain’s chairs are all heated, while three-zone automatic climate control ensures you and your passengers are comfortable. The standard options are already luxurious, but consider the Plus or Premium trim levels if you want a little more luxury.
2024 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat
A powerful 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine makes the SRT Hellcat an absolute powerhouse. It produces an eye-watering 710 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque, allowing the SRT Hellcat to go from zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. It’ll also tackle a quarter mile in just 11.5 seconds. With a top speed of 180 mph, it’s race-ready. Special features such as forged-alloy pistons, piston-cooling oil jets, and a dedicated cooling circuit in the supercharger housing help the SRT Hellcat perform reliably at an elite level.
The SRT Hellcat starts at the Plus trim but has a Premium option. The Plus version lets you live out your racing car driver fantasies with its flat-bottomed steering wheel and paddle shifters. You may consider upgrading to the Premium level for the 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, which replaces the standard Alpine option, and cosmetic enhancements to the already sporty interior, including red seatbelts, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, and carbon fiber cabin accents.
Dodge Challenger SRT
Since the Dodge Challenger already looks like a muscle car, equipping it with SRT technology made a lot of sense. The final year of production for all Dodge Challenger vehicles was 2023, including the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, but muscle car enthusiasts so revered that it’s still worth highlighting while limited new vehicles remain in dealerships. Its base engine is a gutsy 6.2-liter HEMI V-8, producing a massive 717 hp. It covers a quarter mile in just 11.2 seconds and has a top speed of 199 mph, making it the fastest GT production vehicle on the planet.
The base model boasts impressive statistics but seems lightweight compared to other trim levels. For example, the Redeye’s motor produces an eye-watering 797 hp. At the top of the line, the 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Super Stock pumps out 807 hp. While the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat focuses on performance, its heated, ventilated leather seats and spacious cabin make it feel luxurious. It also has an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Uconnect for navigation and access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Future of the SRT
With the Dodge Challenger already put out to pasture and Dodge retiring its Durango after the 2024 model year, it’s already looking ahead to the future of the SRT brand. Its engineers are working hard to create vehicles that deliver the expected performance of the SRT name with the eco-friendly credentials demanded by modern cars.
In 2022, Dodge unveiled a concept version of its first electric SRT vehicle, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT. Despite being an electric vehicle, Dodge promised you wouldn’t miss the sound of its old gas-powered V-8 engines. The new concept car features a Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, which pushes the distinctive sound of a muscle car out through an amplifier and tuning chamber. This technology should help the electric exhaust system produce a 126-decibel sound even louder than the distinctive 100-decibel roar of the last Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. It should also be faster than the gas-powered muscle car.
The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT looks to be a successor to the now-discontinued Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. It trades in the familiar HEMI V-8 motor for an 800-volt platform, dubbed Banshee, which performs better and charges faster than the average electric powertrain. It’s a massive upgrade from the 400-volt system that powers the non-SRT Charger models. You can also expect the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT to have a multispeed transmission and all-wheel drive for extra grip in wet conditions and while taking corners at high speeds.
